CHRIS AND GEOFF DAHL
The artists Chris and Geoff Dahl have been on international stages as " The Soul Brothers" for many years. At the Estrel Festival Center they can be seen regularly as one of the acts in "Stars in Concert", the Las Vegas style live show, where they have long become the audiences’ absolute favourites with a performance bursting with energy. These brothers, born in the Canadian London/Ontario, are not only exceptionally gifted singers, but also demonstrate outstanding musical talent on the instruments. Geoff Dahl, for one, plays several instruments: guitar, double bass, harmonica, violin and banjo. Between 1980 and 1989 he played in four Top-40 rock bands. Later, in the "Uptown Blooze Band", he devoted himself entirely to the blues, playing with well-known musicians, such as Donny Walsh (Downchild Blues Band), John Ellison, Chicago Pete, Mel Brown, Shirley King, and during his time with the "Old Chicago Blues Band" also with the blues legend Dutch Mason. Since 1995 the free-lance musician and composer has been en-tirely absorbed in his role as "Elwood Blues", and his solos on the harmonica are, time and again, greeted with thunderous applause. Chris Dahl’s first instrument was the drums, at high school he played the clarinet in the school band and later studied the guitar and the piano at an academy of music. Like his brother, he had played in the "Uptown Blooze Band", too, and in other Top-40 bands before in the mid-nineties he fully concentrated on his career as "Jake Blues". Ever since the two brothers have delighted the audiences worldwide: besides innumerable per-formances in the U.S.A. and in Canada, Chris and Geoff Dahl were, among other countries, also on stage in the United Arab Emirates and in Bosnia.
